Course Objectives This course examines project management roles and environments, the project life cycle and various techniques of work planning, control and evaluation to achieve project objectives. The tools currently available to project managers are discussed throughout this course.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Will be able to understand the basic concepts of one time large scale projects, programming and scheduling problems.
  • Will know the different project delivery systems and how each affects the role of the project management team.
  • Will know how to manage the flow of project information during the various phases of the project.
  • Will be able to manage the various types and sources of risk that are the primary responsibility of the project supervisor.
  • Will be able to understand the role of planning and scheduling in the pre-construction phase of a construction project.
Course Description These issues compose the course: selecting projects strategically, the role of the projects in the organizations, planning the work activities, project costs and budget, project activity scheduling
